Fitzroy North renovated beauty
Selling Houses Australia Season 18, episode 7 in Fitzroy North featured Kitchen Shack kitchen and laundry cabinetry.
The renovation included a complete re-design of both the kitchen and laundry. Led by Wendy Moore alongside Dennis Scott and Andrew Winter from Selling Houses Australia, the result is a home that balances both functionality and keeps within the style of this Fitzroy North property.

Before and After
The kitchen was re-designed into this beautiful u-shaped layout that maximises storage and generous bench space which is now great for everyday living and entertaining. Key features like the double wall ovens, sink beneath the window, and positioning of appliances, creates an efficient workflow.
The added touch of the breakfast bar is another lovely detail adding both functionality and social connection.
Using advanced 3D design software, Kitchen Shack Preston team brought the vision to life creating real life renders (seen below) before production began for the North Fitzroy design.

The beautiful kitchen features quality Shaker Terrill satin and Oyster satin overhead cabinetry by Kitchen Shack, and a modern Caesarstone benchtop. Kitchen Shack’s Shaker style creates a classic, yet contemporary feel, perfect for this style of home.
Shaker Terrill satin is used in the four-door pantry and base under-bench cabinetry and drawers. Shaker Oyster satin cabinetry overhead lightens up the kitchen space and acts as a lovely contrast with the Terrill satin base cabinetry.
A small laundry area, adjacent to the kitchen and divided by a simple wall partition, has also been incorporated. A broom/linen tall cabinet has been designed in together with an under-bench washing machine/dryer and overhead storage cabinets.
Use of the same Terrill Satin and Oyster Satin cabinetry, and Caesarstone benchtop creates a seamless flow between the kitchen and laundry areas. Whilst the wall partition cleverly differentiates each space.
All Kitchen Shack cabinetry is manufactured locally at its Melbourne factory. Australian made and owned with hinges and accessories from Hettich.
A Kitchen Shack recommended Installer was used on site which ensured a smooth and affordable installation process.
The team at Selling Houses Australia together with all involved in the renovation of this gorgeous Fitzroy North home, were delighted when the newly renovated property which was sold as sold in November 2025 for a record price of $2,200,000!
A fantastic result for everyone involved, Selling Houses Australia, Kitchen Shack and Caesarstone. This is a clear example of how the right renovation can add real value come sale day.
