At Kitchen Shack we are committed to the environment and improving operations to minimise the impact on people and the future of our planet. We continue to design and create products that last. Wherever possible we:

  • Reuse and recycle packaging waste like cardboard.
  • Use energy saving devices like LED lighting.
  • Work with local suppliers to lower our transport footprint of goods instead of overseas.
  • Use regrowth plantation timber rather than native forest for our board materials.
  • Use vinyl on cabinetry that is recycled locally.
  • Source our cabinetmaking materials from plantation timber products, all of which meet AUS/NZ standards for manufacuturing of both MDF and particle board.
  • Our products are moisture resistant and boast the lowest formaldehyde emissions.
  • Involve our supply chain with a view to sustainable growth.
  • Partner with suppliers who have an awareness of the consequences of activities to minimise environmental, social and economic impact.
  • Paperless office where possible to benefit the environment, saving trees and recycling ink cartridges where required.

  • Use kitchen flooring that is sustainable to reduce environmental impact.

  • Install energy efficient LED lighting, LED lights use 80% less energy than traditional bulbs.
